<p>The Asian River Rafting Championship, held at Sunni Tehsil in the Shimla district, close to Basantpur, was dominated by Indian teams. The Indian teams placed first in a number of championship categories.</p>

<p>In all, sixteen teams from six nations—Iraq, Iran, Nepal, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, and India—took part in the tournament. The World Rafting Federation and the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation worked together to organize the event.</p>
<p>After finishing the race in 92.18 seconds, Raiwala’s team came in second in the mixed category, while Uttarakhand took third. Team India took top position.</p>
<p>The men’s team from Nepal took first place, followed by the teams from Belgaum and Raiwala, who finished third and third, respectively.</p>
<p>Iran’s team took first place in the women’s division, followed by Uttarakhand in second place and Dehradun in third.</p>
<p>This was the location of today’s championship closing ceremony. Danilo Barmaz, President of the World Rafting Federation, congratulated the victors.</p>
